पूर्वी दिल्ली की सामाजिक संस्था शान्ति देवी मित्तल फ़ाउंडेशन द्वारा संचालित स्केट्स होप सेंटर के संस्थापक श्री सुरेश मित्तल जो विभिन्न सामाजिक कार्यों में संलग्न है वह इस कोविड महामारी में भी समाज के विभिन्न वर्गों की सहायता के लिए अग्रणी है। यह संस्था इस ऑक्सीजन की कमी की परिस्थिति में समाज के विभिन्न वर्गों की सहायता के लिए ऑक्सीजन मशीन/ concentrators नि शुल्क प्रदान कर रही है। संस्था ने 20 से ज़्यादा ऑक्सीजन मशीनें ख़रीदी है और इससे 50 से ज़्यादा लोग पिछले एक महीने में इस महामारी में लाभान्वित हुए हैं। यह संस्था पूर्व एक वर्ष से कोविड महामारी में लोगों की मदद कर रही है। इस संस्था ने 50,000 से ज़्यादा मास्क बनवाकर वितरण करें। विभिन्न लोगों को sanitisers उपलब्ध कराएं . राशन की व्यवस्था कराई एवं अपनी सिलाई प्रशिक्षण केन्द्र में रोज़गार उपलब्ध कराए । सामान्य परिस्थिति में यह संस्था नि शुल्क प्रशिक्षण केन्द्र का संचालन करती है जिसमें सिलाई,कम्प्यूटर्स एवं ब्यूटी पार्लर का छह माह का कोर्स कराया जाता है।इसके अतिरिक्त कक्षा तीसरी से कक्षा सातवीं तक के बच्चों को नि शुल्क सभी विषयों की कोचिंग दी जाती है।
Today computers are used in various fields like business, pharmacy, music, education, engineering, management, defense and transportation as they help to ease certain tasks, provide information faster, and speed up the work. Skets Hope Centre generate the computer saksharta /skills with the scenario of modern digital literacy, modern infrastructure as well as with the awareness session. The objective of our centre is to reach out to the weaker section of the society from disadvantaged backgrounds, which do not have the exposure to Information Technology like others. IT training in professional institutes is unaffordable for them. The computers are provided in a ratio of 1:1, i.e. 1 students per computer for better understanding. The student teacher ratio is 15:1, i.e. 15 students per batch under one teacher. There are four batches going on regular basis in the morning and evening.
India has large young population, only rare of the Indian labor force in the age group of 20-24 years has obtained vocational skills through formal means. A majority of Indian women workforce does not possess marketable skills which is an impediment in getting decent employment and improving their economic condition. To fill the above gap our trust is setting up a vocational skill centre to train women as a beautician Centre. Through this project will strive to make them self-reliant, restore their dignity and empower them. It will meet need of family & generate livelihood opportunities. They would be taught about makeup, hair styling and related services with hands on training.
Education is the first basic necessity of every student but in India there are so many Childs who are not able to afford education because of money crisis. There are so many Childs & People who are living in slums are poor and have no hope of better tomorrow. SKETS Hope Centre runs free coaching classes for underprivileged children. As of now, the centre conducts classes from 3rd to 7th standard with more than 250 students. The teacher student ratio in the classes is 1:20. Under this program trained and experienced teachers run daily classes and mentor underprivileged children who are under difficult circumstances, such as child labor, children of poorest of the parents, street and runaway children, children with rare disabilities and slum children.
People do not think necessary providing opportunities to the women & adolescent girls for modern education & vocational skills in India. SKETS Hope Centre has a dedicated centre to impart tailoring and stitching skills to the women. We are running morning and evening batches of classes which help students to start their journey in the world of sewing. The classes are designed to help beginners to comfortably start sewing clothes. There are tremendous opportunities for the women to get suitable employment in fashion and related industry. Additionally, it will improve their entrepreneurship and employment skills & empower them taking decision about themselves. The Second wave of covid-19 virus is more dangerous then the previous virus, because of the combination of a large asymptomatic population in the society and the presence of more infectious variants of the virus during the second wave, which is much steeper than the first wave that peaked in September, In this difficult time Mr. Suresh Mittal, the founder of the SKETS Hope Center, run by East Delhi’s social organization Shanti Devi Mittal Foundation, which is involved in various social functions, is also a pioneer to help different sections of the society in this covid epidemic. This institution is providing oxygen machines / concentrators free of cost to assist different sections of the society in this oxygen shortage situation. The organization has purchased more than 20 oxygen machines and more than 50 people have benefited from this epidemic in the last one month. This organization has been helping people in the covid epidemic for the past one year. This institution has made more than 50,000 masks and distributed. Provided sanitisers to various people. Provided ration and make employment available in our tailoring training center. Under normal circumstances, this institution runs a free training center in which a six-month course in tailoring, computers and beauty parlors is conducted. In addition to this, children from class III to VII are given free coaching in all subjects.

Glad to announce the commencement of self-defence course in Skets Hope Centre from 1st Nov 2021. Commencement of Self Defence Course has been done at Skets Hope Centre in order to empower women’s & children’s and teach act of protecting oneself, or someone else against physical harm. Self-defence plays an important part in women’s lives Self-Protection is an ability that any woman can learn on a regular basis or wherever the situation requires in order to make her own and others’ lives safer. we have decided to start self-defence trainings for girls in our center, Self-defence training helps people in removing the uncertainty and anxiety and boosts their confidence, it increases sense of self-efficacy and self-esteem. Learning self-defence makes children & women feel stronger, confident and secure while commuting to work. The goal behind starting self Defence classes was proposed by Ms. Nimisha Bansal stating that “We truly believe that everyone should have confidence in themselves while commuting to work or staying at home the combined confidence gained by acquiring Self defence skills is something which make women & children more independent and confident in themselves”
SKETS HOPE CENTRE has made sure that the self defence classes should be taught by the best teacher therefore SKETS HOPE CENTRE has appointed Sh. Naresh Sharma (Black Belt) with over 20 years’ experience, and he would be the chief instructor for the course. already 30 women and 50 children has enrolled themselves in the course in first week
SKETS Hope Centre was founded in 2019 with a vision of imparting knowledge & self-sufficient monetizable skills to the underprivileged section of the society. A 3,500 SqFt. facility with a capacity of accommodating 500+ students at a time along with the necessary required infrastructure was set up in East Delhi by Shanti Devi Mittal Foundation formed by Suresh Mittal in the name of his mother Smt. Shanti Devi Mittal (Est. 2017) in conjunction with SKETS studio Pvt Ltd, an architecture firm based out Delhi. The goal is simple; remove the monetary factor from education and make children; young boys and girls compatible in the current ‘monetized education’ atmosphere. Shanti Devi Mittal foundation runs its charitable activities under the name of SKETS Hope Centre. The training institute and all charitable activities are financed solely by SKETS Studio.
